I am ever so happy to announce our first major version upgrade for RasterMaster in 2011!  RasterMaster .NET v18 in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors is now generally available. It has has been available for free evaluation download since the beginning of July 2011.

The new features in RasterMaster .NET 18.0 include:

• Dozens of new sample projects in C# and Visual Basic for Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2008, including one for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).  Our team  has spiffed up some old favorites and brought them up to speed for use with the latest Microsoft development environments.  This will make it easier for evaluators to get up and running.

Our batch conversion product SnowBatch v4.1 is based on our RasterMaster imaging SDK.  The 4.1 release of SnowBatch:

• adds a feature to allow you to delete partially converted files from the output and see the deleted filenames in the log
• the “success” and “failed” folders can now be specified on the command line
• corrects an issue with producing color pdf output for AFP documents
• adds better handling of HTML documents

We update SnowBatch with each RasterMaster release to help you process a wider variety of documents and get better output. We have been making lots of improvements to AFP (MO:DCA), Word, Excel and PDF format support.  The current production version of SnowBatch is v4.1 based on RasterMaster DLL 17.9.10.

We continue to refine our mature and capable RasterMaster product line with our latest releases, RasterMaster Java SDK v12.9.11, RasterMaster .NET SDK v17.9.10 and RasterMaster DLL SDK v17.9.10.

These releases include better support for:

• international characters in our MO:DCA (AFP), Office, and PDF format support
• write-password protected PDF files now render output
• Office files with macros, hidden data and Excel merged rows now render better
• better alpha channel processing for TIFF images

If you haven’t obtained a release recently here are some of the enhancements we’ve made in the last few maintenance updates:

I am happy to announce VirtualViewer  Java Content Server v12.10 has passed QA testing and is now posted for evaluation downloads.
This delicious new update includes:
* View and print ASCII input files in landscape mode
* Thumbnail view fixes
* More robust print annotation and export support
* Multi-page scan fix. The remaining scan issues appear to be scan driver update issues.
* The latest update comes configured for performance rather than high-definition
* Better international character support for MO:DCA (AFP) and Office documents
* Better handling of PDFs with invalid or incomplete xref information
