Security is defined as the degree of protection against danger, damage, and loss. There are currently hundreds of document security companies around the world today with thousands of document security products available. But how many of these products protect the document once it is outside its “protective zone”? How many of these products can provide security against the danger of theft? How many can offer protection against damage once the document is exposed to the outside world? And how many can prevent the loss of that document and ensure it remains safe and sound in the document repository?

Ah, fall is in the air! Here in New England, the leaves are dropping (as are the temperatures – and like a stone I might add), and for many businesses it is trade show time. We at Snowbound Software have just finished a busy trade show schedule covering events both here in the US and abroad, showing our wares to clients, prospects and partners…more on that later…

Steve Jobs in his April 2010 blog on Adobe Flash technology versus Javascript, CSS and HTML5 (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/) makes many good points about the pros and cons of Flash.  These points include open standards (Flash is proprietary to Adobe), Web accessibility, reliability and security, and touch UI compatibility.
