Open Text recently announced the development of semantic navigation, which will allow for faster enterprise search.Open Text recently announced the development of semantic navigation, a tool that will allow users of the company”s ECM suite to quickly navigate through data.

The add-on will allow companies to quickly find specific information on search engines or within their own network. Furthermore, the solution is available as both a cloud-based and on-premise solution, which will allow more of Open Text”s customers to use it.

The amount of data filling corporate networks continues to grow in both volume and scope. As a result, it can often be difficult for enterprise solutions to quickly navigate two separate file types – even if they deal with the same subject matter. Similarly, consumer websites must be able to find all data pertaining to a specific search topic quickly.

Due to the highly publicized breaches of credit card and social security information like T.J. Maxx and others, both government agencies and companies that are sensitive to data breaches (pretty much everyone today over a certain size but certainly institutions in the financial, e-discovery and health care areas) keep adding greater and greater safeguards.
